now i wanna recap what i have typed in Japan using MR Phua's laptop:

yoyo, im here gonna tell you about the "FUN" things in japan.

[7 August 2008] = very tired, and irritated, because my luggage strap was spoilt... it broke when it was in my father's car.... i dunno why.... i and wengguan was sad, me especially, because
NO ONE EVEN CAME TO SEND US OFF!!!

[8 August 2008] = 1st thing first, the flight; a very long and very agitated trip, long wait to board up the plane, the plane was [AirBus A380]. The trip was to Narita International Airport. The plane food was alright, no problem, but the temperature was cold, haha!!! Then we proceeded to the hotel, named "E-Hotel", allocated in "Shinjuku". The bus trip was approximately 1-2 hours. Then we went to the lobby, located on the second floor. The moment we get the key, we were crazy, strolling to the room, we were shocked. The room was darn small. SMALLER THAN THE HONGKONG HOTEL!!! Then we proceeded on to the restaurant, the food we had was very "DELICIOUS"!!! Korean food, funny huh? Korean food in Japan? heard of it? Probably Yes. Next, we took the train, it has no doors to prevent anything from happening. c0oL rigHt? Haha, then we went to "Shinto". Somehow a place like a temple. Now, these are the things you can compare.


1] Lots of VENDING MACHINES,
2] NO RUBBISH BIN,
3] HARD TO SEE A RUBBISH BIN,
4] Their LATE-COMING IS NEVER EVEN ONCE A DAY
5] Their ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS,
6] The WARM SMILE they give everyday,
7] Their clothings EVERYDAY,8] NOT TOO CHOSEY ABOUT everything.


[9 August 2008] = Now, let me cut short, the second day, we morning proceed on to YAMAHA in Shinjuku. It will only open at 10:45am, then we went to the "GINZA IN2". we saw lots of CDs and clothings. At 10:45am sharp, we went to YAMAHA. We saw lots of instrument, and it is VERY VERY VERY CHEAP, a few hundred thousands ONLY!!! Everything there was too EX, so we did not bought anything back, don't be sad. Then we proceeded on to the "Kawagoe", where little kids will be trained from young. OOoops, i forgot to tell you about the weather in Japan.

Morning : 33degrees
Afternoon : 35degrees
Night : 29-30degreees

The kids and their parents were kind enough to let us use the room. They walked quickly and out of the room, POLITELY!!! The trainer showed us the dance steps the kids are learning, we thought we have to use our instruments and dance with the steps. We heaved a sign of relief. We loved the steps after the instructor have taught. Then so on and on and on... The third day, we went to the "SAITAMA SUPER ARENA". It was a very big area, and we had to walk a long way. Then we went in to the "COCOON", it is a shopping mall with full of branded stuffs, with SPECIAL SUMMER OFFER!!! Then, me and the Bowen girl, were sick of JAPAN FOOD!!! okokokokokok, THE END :] +T.T+


[10th August] = "Marching Band and Baton Twirling Contest"Ok, i have forgotten what had happened, so forget it...

[11th August] = Band Exchange in the Girls School, "Hoshino Girls High School".They are very interesting, they let me play their "Mellophone", their fingerings are the same as the single horn. If i can remember their names, only one, "Yamashita". She was very funny. I really hate the

JAPAN PEOPLE!!!NO MATTER HOW SCORCH THE SUN IS, THEIR SKIN WILL NEVER GO BLACKER!!!

VERY JEALOUS!!!Their performance was very perfect, i love it!!! wo0ho0!!! And they love our performance too, yeah man. Then, MR LAWERENCE SIAO, showed how Singapore Band is formed. Although, they do not understand what the video is talking about, but they still appreciate it.

[12 August] = YEAH!!! WE LEARNT COLOR GUARDS!!! So interesting sia! Marching WITH FLAGS, wo0ho0. "The Sound Of Music", flags throwing yeah!!! Then we went on a trip around Kawagoe, hot=.= Then Mr. Suenaga, treated us Yam and Sweet Potato, so tasty^.^ Then we got a performance on our own school.

[13 August 2008] = a happy gonna ending day in Tokyo Disneyland, i love the place man, it rocks my life, we first took on the ride on the STUPID SLOW TRAIN, then the train went into the dungeon where there are dinosaurs................. quite lame larr. then next, we took the WesternLand rollercoaster, very exciting, but i came down with shivering legs... then we proceeded on to the HAUNTED MANSION. ok, the ghost was not even scary at all, very sian one.... then, we proceeded to the space ship, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa......... =.=``````````` lame larr, but the stupid machine pressed my bladder!!! wa, then i wanted to peeeeeee................. after that, we went to buy some souviners for our bandmates. then, at night, we asked MP to treat us mac, haha, quess wad? he TREATED US!!! wohoos, then when we went back to the hotel, the moment we were eating half way [eligible words...], Mdm Yam, came out from her room, and she gave us something to eat, we were so shocked, although we treat her badly, but she still treat us nicely. ahh, such a good teacher....... ~.~```` then she even let us at 12am to SLEEP!!!! we were then so happpy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[14 August 2008] = a day that is unbearable to leave, i hope, not to leave this place, hiyah, but we in the afternoon went to the barbeque shop again [if i am not wrong], we were so desperate to eat the curry, the most delicious curry of all^^, and the drinks is FREE FLOW!!! cool rite?! jealous rite, but i planned not to go to japan anymore, haha!!! so i will be more jealous^.^ then, in the late afternoon, we went to Narita International Airport, and took our departure flight... we felt sad and we hoped to come Japan [Tokyo : Shinjuku]......... never mind, at least in the plane.... we get to eat japanese food again!!!!

General characteristics

The horn is the second highest instrument in the brass family. The single horn is usually pitched in the key of F, although smaller instruments (for children or for specific professional uses) may be pitched in B-flat. Compared to the other brass instruments in the orchestra, it has a very different mouthpiece, but has the widest usable range - approximately four octaves, depending on the ability of the player. To produce different notes on the horn, one must do many things - the four most important are pressing the valves, holding the appropriate amount of lip tension, blowing air into the instrument, and placing the hand in the bell. More lip tension and faster air produces higher notes. Less lip tension and slower air produces lower notes. The right hand, usually cupped at a "three o-clock" position in the bell, can lower the pitch, depending on how far into the bell the player puts it, by as much as a semitone. The horn plays in a higher portion of its overtone series compared to most brass instruments. Its conical bore (as opposed to the cylindrical bore of the trumpet or trombone) is largely responsible for its characteristic tone, often described as "mellow".
Today, music for the horn is typically written in F (or sometimes, notably in British bands, in E-flat), and sounds a perfect fifth lower than written (or a major sixth lower for the E-flat horn). The limitations on the range of the instrument are primarily governed by the available valve combinations for the first four octaves of the overtone series and after that by the ability of the player to control the pitch through their air supply and embouchure. The typical written ranges for the horn start at either the F-sharp immediately below the bass clef or the C an octave below middle C.
